Reduce pH in Foot Baths for Enhanced Hoof Treatment
Antibiotic treatments with supplemental footbaths are recommended for treatment of both foot rot and heel wart. However, for a footbath to be at its most effective for hoof treatment, the pH of the water needs to be managed. For years, copper sulfate has been commonly used to reduce pH. However, issues with heavy metal contamination on cropland or pastureland have left dairymen looking for ways to reduce its use.
ParlorPal contains the strongest dry mineral acid on the market today. That means that even at much lower addition rates, ParlorPal is effective at reducing the pH of footbath water for hoof treatment far below critical levels throughout a milking cycle.
